-Your class will learn about the growing season, where our food comes from and ways to prepare it.
-Fruit and Vegetable identification as well as the science of seeds.
-Honeybees, pollination and the crucial role that bees play in maintaining our food supply, health, well being and a balanced eco system
*each class will receive a jar of honey to take back to school for sampling.
-Students, parents and teachers will all have an opportunity to plant a 10" vegetable garden clock that will include 4 different plants. They can be taken home and transplanted into your own gardens so you and your family can watch them grow and harvest your own vegetables..
-There will be a trip to the farm zoo where the children can feed, interact and ask questions about the animals.
-The children will get to burn off some steam at our Play 60 flowerpot relay race, team building and exercise activity area.
-You will take a hike on our nature trail through the forest where Farmer Stan talks about birds and other species native to Maryland.
-Once the tour is complete, you are welcome to utilize our picnic area to have lunch. Please feel free to visit Farmer Stan's farm market and garden center as well!
